Advanced Course with Roger Neighbour and peer-supervison
Kalymnos, 7 - 14 September 2017

Dr. Roger Neighbour
MA, DSc, FRCGP. Past President, Royal College of General Practitioners

Roger Neighbour, author of The Inner Consultation and The Inner Apprentice and past President of the UK Royal College of General Practitioners, will lead a workshop on Advanced Consulting Skills, intended to help to broaden and deepen participants' ability to consult with patients.
Staying curious about our patients and developing strategies to manage challenging consultations are the best ways to ensure job satisfaction over the course of a career in family medicine.

The advanced course has first a 3-day course with Roger Neighbour. Topics to be covered include: 3 key consultation skills; practicing focused attention; awareness-raising questioning; the use of 'self'; the drama triangle; dealing with 'difficult' patients.
The course with Roger Neighbour, which will be conducted in English, will use a mixture of presentation, video and role-play, structured exercises, and group discussion. It should be stimulating, illuminating and above all fun.

The rest of the week the group will work as a peer-group supervising video consultations
